Starcomms’ iZAP expands to more cities in Nigeria

Starcomms Plc has launched its iZAP broadband data services in Abeokuta, Ilorin , Kaduna and Zaria, promising to move it Jos and Kano soon.
This gives Internet-savvy Nigerians in the cities to join their counterparts in Ibadan , Calabar, Warri, Port Harcourt , Lagos , Benin City and Abuja to Starcomms’ brand of super fast broadband Internet service.
The Chief Commercial Officer of Starcomms, Mr. Tushar Maheshwari, said that the launch testified to the fact that the company is committed to helping more Nigerians have the benefit of super fast broadband service.
He stated that the coming of iZAP to these cities is a response to the need for broadband services that is capable of delivering very high speed internet experience.
He further stated that since the company's deployment of Ev-Do internet broadband services in 2006, the first in the entire West Africa , Starcomms has been leading the data segment in the country with innovative, state-of-the-art data modems and devices of world class standards.
While assuring that data subscribers in these cities will experience best and superfast internet services, Mr. Maheshwari said that Starcomms has been availing its subscribers with advance data services through the use of cutting edge technology, innovative packages and world class.
The Starcomms broadband service is the the has typical download speed of 2.4Mbps, and up to 3.1 Mbps on the Ev-DO Rev. A, so that complex and large files downloading remotely is possible.
