North West Youth Alliance roots for Jonathan

The anti zoning North West Youth Alliance for Jonathan also yesterday distributed leaflets at the governors’ meeting venue in Kaduna. In an open letter to the Northern Governors’ Forum, the group stated that zoning had been observed more in the breach in the PDP, adding that power rotation is not sacrosanct. The group denied that zoning will ensure fairness and equity.
According to the alliance, “power rotation “compromises the supremacy of the voter and worse still, detracts from the collective aspiration of the Nigerian populace to throw their weight behind a candidate of their choice, his geographical or ethnic origin notwithstanding.”
In his opening remarks, Dr Babangida Aliyu the chief servant of Niger State, stated that the meeting of the Northern Governors’ Forum was not about individuals but issues which affect the people of the North.
