CAMFACES Nigeria is set to launch its flagship modelTV event. Tagged Who’s Hot this Quarter. It is a model search holding quarterly to discover and harness the abundant modeling talent
across West Africa especially Nigeria.
The adventurous thrill tees off at the pre-event briefing session where professional fashion designers, make-up artistes, stylists will address the participating models with details and tips of what the Fashion & Beauty industry expects of models.
The Search production crew will explain the entire Who’s Hot this Quarter process to the models to prepare them for the casting and auditioning.
The audition will take into consideration how all these are carefully selected to produce the final effects seen on the models as they do their casting photos…it’s practically a photography affair. The judges will score on all aspects including hair style, fashion, make-up and general grooming. The final portraiture will be judged too and will earn the most aggregate score.
The audition will be held in groups where five photographers will be on hand at a big venue, minimum capacity 200 persons. All the models will take turns to go through the shoot in a systematic progression that enables all contestants cover the various aspects of the tasks. Photographers will focus on simple shots meant to highlight specific elements on the judges score card. Five professional photographers will do approximately 4 hours daily and depending on the number of contestants, this may go on for days.
30 models will emerge from this casting to move on to our Models Factory. The fun only just began! From here on, it will take three days, including one weekend in a five star hotel, in front of TV cameras to discover Nigeria’s hottest modeling talent for the quarter. The winner will among other prizes be the cover-girl for the Q3 special edition of Camfaces Magazine which comes with center spread interview and N250,000 cash prize; wardrobe of 10 fantastic Nigerian designer pieces worth N250,000; and a 2012 calendar job for a top cosmetics brand worth N100,000.
