KING Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (K1) is not back in Nigeria yet, a top member of FUMAN has informed RMT.
The member, who said he was supposed to travel to Mecca with another on holy pilgrimage, debunked reports that K1 was back in the country.
“Alhaj has not left Canada yet, it’s not true that he is now back in the country,” he said.
According to him, K1 had called three days ago to tell him that he was not coming home as planned, and that nothing was wrong with his health.
“We were preparing for him to take us to Saudi Arabia for the hajj as he had earlier told the two of us to go for the required medical examinations and injections, but he called that he wasn’t coming again. That means we have missed the hajj, but there is always another year,” he admitted.
Regarding K1’s health, the musician insisted that the fuji king was hale and hearty.
“He had a little problem with his lung and it has been successfully operated on. He has decided to rest more, that’s why he’s not coming back until after the Ileya celebrations, though he had planned to spend the festive period in the country.
