altGOSPELS musicians had being charged to compose their songs from holy and biblical sources and not from other sources which can make their songs jargons.

This point was made by the lady chairman of Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria (GOMAN), Osogbo Zone, Mrs. Bunmi Bankole at the press briefing organised by the zone as one of the programmes celebrate this year Osogbo GOMAN Week.

Speaking further, she said some gospel musicians now are digressing from their primary objective and following the steps that secular musicians take in order to be popular or to make money.

“When the source in which they compose their songs is not biblical and holy, that’s why you se them digressing to singing jargons, making noise fallacies and dressing like secular musicians in their videos.

“GOMAN was founded to correct immoralities in the society both by the words that come from our mouths and the way we dress as this is way for us to gain souls to the kingdom of Christ”, she stressed.

In his own few words, the vice chairman of the zone, must not destroy the good aims that the association has but instead, they should emulate them.
