Renard insists no Ghana bitterness

ShareZambia coach Herve Renard
has maintained he bears no grudge against Ghana heading into Wednesday's
semi-final in Bata.
Renard said he will not let his one-year stint,
from 2008 to 2009, as a backroom staff during Claude Le Roy's time in Ghana -
when he was labelled a “physical trainer” by the media in Ghana - affect him.
“No, I don’t (think of revenge). I started
coaching before I went to Ghana," Renard said.
"Yes, sometimes I was not happy with the
consideration the press gave me because in Ghana sometimes you don’t consider
the assistant coach; this is why I was not very happy, but I knew one day my time
will come."
The game will be Renard's first competitive
meeting against Ghana although the two sides met in friendly match in London in
2009 that the Black Stars won 4-1.
"But it is not Herve Renard playing against
Ghana, but Zambia playing against Ghana," Renard said.
Renard added that he was not feeling any
pressure heading into the big semi-final in Bata.
"We are proud to be here. We know 12
million Zambians will be watching us on the (tv) screens back home and waiting
for us to beat Ghana and go to Libreville. This is the most important
thing," the Frenchman said
