captain Christopher Katongo has said Ghana must first go through Chipolopolo to
show they are worthy 2012 Africa Nations Cup championship prospects.
Katongo
said on Tuesday that Wednesday’s semifinal clash against Ghana in Bata will
give Zambia a chance to prove that their arrival at the semifinal stage was not
a fluke.
"They
have to prove to us that they can beat us and we also have to prove to them
that we can beat them," Katongo said.
"It
is going to be an interesting game with similar styles, the only difference is
they have stars on paper."
Katongo
is having a prolific Africa Cup and is a golden boot prospect with three goals
so far in the tournament in the four games he has played for Zambia.
"This
is an opportunity for the Zambian players to make a name," he said.
"If
Ghana can make a name by going to the World Cup and this is also our time by
beating them."
Katongo
said victory over Ghana will certainly make house hold names of all the Zambian
players.
